New! 4 Paint schemes with new road numbers of the FMC 5277 “Combo Door” Boxcar

We are pleased to announce new Paint schemes and Road Numbers of our FMC 5277 “Combo Door” Boxcar

In May and June of 1978, the American Rail Box Car Company (Railbox) sought a unique design of 70-ton Plate C boxcars from FMC. These cars had a 6' plug doors in addition to the regular 10' Youngstown slider. These "Combo Door" ABOX boxcars have since became one of the recognizable boxcars from the late 1970s to the present.
Through October 1984 to July 1985, the Canadian National acquired nearly 1,000 of the original ABOX FMC 5277 “Combo Door” boxcars. Some cars were completely repainted Tuscan Red by CN's Moncton, N.B. shops. Others bore the original ABOX paint scheme with re-stenciled reporting marks for the Canadian National (CNA), and ExactRail is offering both paint schemes!
ExactRail is pleased to offer the FMC 5277 “Combo Door” boxcar with all-new road numbers. Accurately rendered, ExactRail goes the distance by offering two versions of Stanray X-panel non-overhanging roofs (an 11 panel and 9 panel) to match the different roofs of the prototypes.

I agree with most everyone else. Want to see more Hi Cube box cars, also some more bulkhead or centerbeam flat cars.

How about doing a price discount for those of us that like to buy the full set, 6 12 24 whatever. The more you buy the more you save.

How about some 60’ high cube boxes in TTX? For several years, if you can find one on ebay, they are outrageously overpriced. I am sure they would sell out quickly, just like your 50’ TTX boxcars that almost immediately sold out in HO scale.

What are the odds of these FMC Combo Door cars ever being made available as undecorated kits for those of us who like custom modeling projects, rather than ready-to-run only?

How about a hi-cube railbox that a senior citizen can afford.
