About the Quebec Central 'Ex. EACH' Paint Scheme:
The Quebec Central has acquired a colorful mix of FMC 5327 Boxcars with 12' plug doors. With information acquired from David Leeming, the QC cars "are still widely in use to haul refined lead and zinc from Teck Corp's smelter in Trail, BC to customers in the industrial heartland of the U.S. Midwest and rust belt areas further east, as well as in Ontario." These are also common sight in our neck of the woods as a local industry gets about one a week. Today these are owned by Canadian Pacific and they are currently in the process of repainting them into a basic green scheme with CP reporting marks (to be done on a future production).
QC 77187 is a former East Camden & Highland that we photographed here in Provo. All for sides of this car are unique and match the prototype photos. This would be right at home on your present day layout.
