ExactRail N Scale: Trinity 6275 Boxcar - SRY Catalyst 2006 As-Delivered
The Trinity 6275 Boxcar has been one of ExactRail's most popular freight cars to date. We are excited to offer a new run of 3 prototypically accurate FBOX schemes as well as 4 TrainLife.com exclusives. After our last run we received multiple requests for more paint schemes that aren't quite correct for our model, but are close enough.
Beginning in 2004, TTX Company began receiving Trinity Industries Inc. 6275 cubic capacity, plug door boxcars. With a fleet of over 600 Trinity-built cars, and over 1100 similar cars built from NSC and Gunderson, this modern car is everywhere!
ExactRail’s model features accurate fonts and colors. It is adorned with stand-off detail, including ExactRail’s separate door tracks, door bars, etched stainless steel cross-over walks, and wire formed grab irons. Furthermore, the Trinity 6275 Plug Door Boxcar features steel-nailable flooring that is meticulously recreated.
About the SRY Catalyst 2006 As-Delivered Paint Scheme:
Back by popular demand! It have been a long time since we last ran this scheme. After many requests we decided it was time to visit it again. The Southern Railway of British Columbia (SRY) had a large fleet of 50' Trinity High-Cube boxcars in multiple schemes. The SRY 'Catalyst' scheme was applied to these cars when they were delivered new in 2006. While similar to our model, the SRY Trinity boxcars were delivered with a narrower door.
