Illinois Central Gulf - 1973 As Delivered
The 1970s called, they have some Harvest Gold & Avocado Green appliances that need to be moved.
The Berwick 7440 Appliance Boxcars were delivered only a few months after the Illinois Central & Gulf Mobile & Ohio merger and featured the new ICG "eyeball" logo. The ICG rostered a small fleet of 20 cars (equipment series 660213-660232). They were initially assigned to the Penn Central at Evansville, Indiana, known as the 'Refrigerator capitol of the world'.
