Rock Island - 1973 As Delivered
The 1970s called, they have some Harvest Gold & Avocado Green appliances that need to be moved.
The Rock Island took delivery of 15 of the Berwick 7440 Appliance Boxcars (32550-32564) in April of 1973. Equipped with Evans 'Air Pac" loaders and Keystone 20" Shock Control Underframe, this car was built to transport the fragile cargo with care. Assigned initially to the Penn Central at Westinghouse Electric in Columbus, Ohio. At least 8 of these cars found a new home on CSX with C&O reporting marks.
