Penn Central - 1973 As Delivered
The 1970s called, they have some Harvest Gold & Avocado Green appliances that need to be moved.
Penn Central was the largest buyer of the Berwick 7440 Boxcars and took delivery of 130 of them (equipment series 278045 - 278174). Classified as lot X77, many of these cars were initially assigned to the Southern Railway at General Electric's Appliance Park in Louisville, Kentucky. While most of these cars were repainted into various Conrail schemes, many only received patches and lasted into CSX in their faded as delivered paint. The Penn Central, Deepwater Green scheme is available in 12 road numbers.
