About the Southern - GS&F 1977 - 'As Delivered' Paint Scheme

This group of cars were assigned to the "paper road" subsidiary Georgia Southern & Florida Railway, as called out by the GS&F lettering in the upper right hand corner of the car sides. These came equipped with Slidewell door openers and received additional instruction painted on the doors. During their life, the door openers would frequently be damaged. It was common to see cars with only the rail remaining.
