Product Update - October 15 2021
Let me start by saying that I was shocked by the overwhelmingly positive response to my blog post last week. I was inundated with comments on the blog & Facebook as well as emails. So THANK YOU for these messages, they are very appreciated and I will be doing my best going forward to simply talk more about what is going on.
There were a few common questions that many asked, specifically to reruns of past releases and N scale. Many of the most requested reruns are coming but they are not ready to be shown yet. Some of these items will be revealed as soon as I receive production samples.
N scale releases are coming but nothing to show just yet. We are doing a little retooling on multiple cars that haven't been released in over 10 years but it will still be a few months before showing them.
Milwaukee Road 3839 Ribside Boxcar
The container has now been offloaded from the ship in Long Beach, CA but has not yet cleared customs. I estimate that these wont arrive at our door for another two weeks. Currently we are planning on releasing during the first week of November but this could change depending on transit times from the port.

FMC 5327 Boxcar with 12'-0 Plug Door
I have created an announcement page for the FMC 5327 Boxcar showing all upcoming 8 paint schemes and undec kit. Please check it out for details. These are bobbing around in the Pacific aboard the COSCO Shipping vessel Andes. It is currently scheduled to arrive at the Port of Long Beach on the 18th. The ship with the Ribsides docked immediately after arriving so lets hope we get lucky again. We are planning on releasing these early December.

Other Releases
For the other items that I showed last week, I will be creating announcement pages as time permits. Look for the Bethlehem 3483 Hoppers next week. The PS-2CD 4427 Covered Hoppers and Gunderson 7466 Wood Chip Gondola productions have just finished and will be departing the factory Monday. We haven't decided the order that all of these will be released yet but I hoping for the first to be in January.
Thank you again for the support.

The information on upcoming releases is much appreciated and hopefully will continue moving forward. I believe providing this information will be a positive for the consumer as well as ExactRail. I do not have an unlimited hobby budget and have to prioritize my purchases. With advance reservations that can take years to show up information is key. As an example, I have been patiently waiting on the next release of DRGW coal hoppers. I know now they are on the way and can plan accordingly. If said cars just randomly show up it is unlikely the budget (large budget!!!) will be in place to add to my unit coal train. I m likely not alone in this regard.

Looking forward to the patched box cars! You can never go wrong with patched railboxes.
Exactrail Texas Mexican box cars and MKT hoppers are going for a mint on the black market. I hope they are being rereleased in the future.

I understand things are in the works but since everything is made of plastic you guy’s need a plastic pellet covered hopper in HO scale. The Trinity, ARI and Greenbrier/Gunderson 6200 capacity car is not available as a model. Modern Tank cars too.

Hi Chris
What other paint schemes will the 5327 boxcar be done in? Have need for a few plug door boxcars on my Los
Angeles Junction Ry switching layout.
